d2 air conditioner / heat pump is wired as part of a circulatory system and the outdoor unit requires more airflow than the indoor unit’s airflow capacity. / Share data is incompatible with the system or missing parameters.


d3 The data sent to the shared control PCB module does not match the hardware configuration.


d4 The data shared on the memory card is faulty.

Goodman AC Troubleshooting


Status LED: Green “Power”
Status LED Description: Module has power
Status LED Troubleshooting: Supply voltage is present on module terminals


Status LED: Red “TRIP”
Status LED Description: Ther,mostat demand signal Y1 is present, but the compressor is not working
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. Compressor protector is open
2. Outdoor unit power disconnect is open
3. Compressor fuse or circuit breaker is open
4. connector or Broken wire is not making contact
5. Open the low pressure switch if the system is present
6. Compressor contactor is not open


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 1
Status LED Description: Long run time, the compressor is extremely long running cycle
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. Low refrigerant charge
2. Evaporator blower is not running
3. The evaporator coil is frozen
4. Defective Metering Device
5. Condenser coil is dirty
6. Liquid line restriction (filter driver blocked if present in the system)
7. Thermostat malfunction


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 2
Status LED Description: System pressure trip discharge or suction pressure out of range or compressor overloaded
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. High head pressure
2. Condenser coil blocked air circulation (dirty, blocked, damaged)
3. condenser fan is not running
4. Return air duct has sufficient leakage
5. If a low pressure switch is present in the system, check the flash code 1 information


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 3
Status LED Description: Small cycling compressor is only running briefly
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. the thermostat demand signal is intermittent
2. Time delay relay or control board faulty
3. If high pressure switch is present, go to Flash Code 2 information
4. If a low pressure switch is present, go to Flash Code 1 information


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 4
Status LED Description: off rotor
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. The run capacitor has failed
2. Low line voltage (contact utility if the voltage at disconnect is low)
3. Excess liquid refrigerant in the compressor
4. Compressor bearings are seized


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 5
Status LED Description: Open circuit
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. The outdoor unit power disconnect is open
2. Compressor circuit breaker or fuse is open
3. Compressor contactor is not open4. High pressure switch is open and need manual reset
5. Open circuit in compressor supply wires or connections
6. Abnormally long compressor protector reset time due to excessive ambient temperature
7. Compressor winding are damaged


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 6
Status LED Description: Open start circuit, current in run circuit
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. The run capacitor has failed
2. Open circuit wiring or connections in the compressor start
3. Compressor start winding is damaged


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 7
Status LED Description: Open run circuit, only the current in the on circuit
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. Open circuit in wiring or connections running the compressor
2. Compressor run winding is damaged


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 8
Status LED Description: Welded contactor, compressor always runsing
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. Compressor contactor shutdown failed
2. The thermostat is not connected to the demand signal module


Status LED: Yellow “ALERT” Flash Code 9
Status LED Description: Low voltage, control circuit <17VAC
Status LED Troubleshooting:
1. The control circuit transformer is overloaded
2. Low line voltage (contact utility if the voltage at disconnect is low)


Issue: The unit does not start
reason:
1. Power is lost
2. Unit can be unplugged
3. the fuse may have blown
4. The battery in the remote may be weak
5. Set the wrong time in time mode
Solution:
1. Wait for the power to be restored
2. Check that the plug is securely receptive to the wall
3. Replace the Fuse
4. Replace Battery
5. Wait or Cancel Timer Setting


Problem: (Cooling / heating model only) Unit not adequately cooled or heating location. Air is coming from the unit
reason:
1. Temperature setting is incorrect
2. Air filter is blocked
3. Doors or windows open
4. Air inlet / outlet of indoor or outdoor unit can be blocked
5. 3 minutes compressor protection is activated
Solution:
1. Set the temperature correctly. See the “Remote Control” section for additional newsletters
2. Clean the air filter
3. Locked doors and windows
4. Clear blockages and restart unit
5. Turn off the unit. Wait for at least 3 minutes and restart the unit.


If the problem is not fixed, please contact your local dealer or the nearest customer service center. Be prepared to tell them specific flaws and unit models.
