STEP 1: Insert both cars into the park or neutral, turn off the engine, apply the parking brake and remove the key from ignition in both vehicles.
Step 2: Using a pair of jumper cables, connect one of the positive + battery terminals on the dead battery of your cars with a red cable clip.
Step 3: Connect the other red cable clip to the positive + battery terminal of another vehicle.
The red jumper cable is now in place.
Step 4: Connect one of the black cable clips to the negative – battery terminal to the battery of other cars.
Step 5: Attach the other end of the black cable clip to an unpublished metal surface (engine block) on your car that is not close to your dead battery.

Step 7: Wait about a minute and then try to start your car. If your car will not start, keep the engine for 5 minutes with the person driving the car. After 5 minutes try to start your car.

When you finally start the car, do not turn off the engine. Your vehicle needs to recharge its battery so drive the car for at least 10 minutes before turning it off. You may have left something in your car that ran out of battery. If your car starts completely after the initial jump, then your battery is probably fine. If the car will not start again, you will need to replace the battery. If you want to be absolutely sure whether to replace your battery or not, you can remove the battery and go to the auto parts shop and check it for free. If they say it is bad then consider buying a new battery and then install it in your vehicle.
