How TO Build a Copy CAT Ikea Table For $35 | Over Bed Table Ikea

Over Bed Table Ikea , We went to our local Ikea furniture store to look at furniture lately. We loved the MALM Occasional Bed Table, but the $129.00 price tag seemed excessive for such a basic table. As a result, we decided to make one of these “Bed” tables from scratch. This project is quite simple to complete on your own. It’s only three pieces of wood, some casters for the bottom, and a coat of paint in your favourite colour. Simply put the whole thing together and you’ve just saved over $100! For $35, you can make a replica of an Ikea table.

To make a copy cat Ikea table, you’ll need the following materials:
12.00 for 1 – 2 x 12 x 12 wood boards
$5.00 for 1 box of 1′′ wood screws
4 metal 90 degree brackets in a package = $4.00
$12.00 for 4 – 2′′ Non-Swivel Casters
$2.00 for 1 package of sandpaper
1 – a paint can (Optional)
1 – Primer (in a can) (Optional)
Total cost: $35.00

The wood, casters, and the rest of the components were purchased from Home Depot. We bought a two-by-twelve-by-twelve-by-twelve-by-twelve-by-twelve-by We had the wood cut for us at Home Depot to the proportions of 1 – 50′′ and 2 – 23′′.

The table we saw at Ikea is just like this. This table is $129.00 and sits really low, making it unsuitable for our bed.

Here’s the free wood we got from Home Depot, as well as our four casters and aluminium brackets.

To prevent fading, we primed our two table legs with three coats of paint. The length of these legs is 23 inches.

After priming all three pieces of wood, we painted them with a baby blue tint and applied two coats.

We have four non-swivel casters, a box of wood screws, and four 90-degree “L” brackets in this shot.

We used wood screws and “L” brackets to secure the wood and mounted the casters.

Here’s our final table, which is ready to use!

To disguise stains and complement our bedroom, we painted the very top with black paint.

This project took us 3 hours to complete and cost us only $35 bucks!
