Refrigerator Is Freezing Everything | What To Check | How To Fix?
Refrigerator freezing food? I opened my refrigerator and the milk and food are partially frozen. My water bottles are almost ice! It feels extra cold in the refrigerator area but the freezer is working fine. Last night when I went to bed, everything in my fridge was cold but not freezing. If food and liquids are freezing in the fridge, what will be my fridge to freeze all the goods suddenly? Is my fridge broken? Please help!

Fridge Freezing Food
Quick answer: If your fridge “suddenly” freezes your food and drink, the temperature setting for the fridge is inadvertently set TOO LOW or TOO COLD. Try setting the refrigerator section temp to medium or number 5. If your refrigerator lets you set the exact temperature, set it to 40 ° F or slightly below. It can also occur on freezer-on-the-bottom refrigerators, where food is found in the fridge’s crisp drawer “suddenly” freeze. Set temp to 40F in the fridge section and 0F in the freezer section.
Note: On some fridges / freezers, the temporary control in the freezer also determines freezing for the refrigerator section.

4 Reasons a REFRIGERATOR will FREEZE FOOD and items in it:
1 – The temperature for the refrigerator has been set TOO LOW or set warmer. The most common reason.
(HIX TO FIX = Adjust temp setting to fix the problem)
2 – If your fridge coils are dirty or dusty, the compressor needs to work longer and longer to keep the freezer temperature down. When this happens, on some refrigerator models, the refrigerator can cool down and freeze food and drinks.
(HOW TO FIX = Clean the coil on your fridge – pull the refrigerator away from the wall and use the canister vacuum to remove dust from the coil)
3 – There is a gasket on your freezer door. Ensure that it is correctly sealed / sealed. If the freezer door is not sealed properly, the freezer will run continuously and freeze the fridge section too much.
(HOW TO FIX = Check the seal on the freezer door – if torn, ripped or worn, replace it with a new gasket / freezer door seal)
4 – The new refrigerator has an air duct that is adjustable. It is usually kept where the milk should be to keep it cooler than the rest of the fridge.
(HOW TO FIX = It may be located in the wrong area so close the air duct door)

Refrigerator Freezer Thermometer -40 to 80 ° F
To avoid this problem in the future, buy a simple inexpensive fridge thermometer. Not only will you always know the exact temp in the fridge, but if the temp ever rises or falls, you will know that the temp setting has been inadvertently changed and needs to be adjusted.
If someone accidentally replaced the fridge, the next time it could change counterclockwise and the temperature in the fridge could rise (become hot). You need to watch the fridge temp to make sure it is never too high. If the temperature in the fridge increases (becomes hot), your risk for foodborne illness may also increase. So pay attention to the temperature of the fridge and freezer.
To ensure that your fridge is always working by design, keep the temperature below 40 degrees Fahrenheit or slightly. Many older refrigerators do not show the actual temperature in freezer or fridge sections. Using an instrument thermometer allows you to monitor the temp and re-adjust the temp or refrigerator freezer if necessary. If your refrigerator does not have an actual temporary display, use an inexpensive thermometer in the fridge and freezer.
