The movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will feature Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani and sunil grover as lead characters. Other popular actors who were roped in for Bharat are Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni and Nora Fatehi.

Salman Khan is often tagged as Bollywood’s brat for a number of controversies and love affairs. His relationship with actress Aishwarya Rai was a well publicised topic in the Indian media. He quite often gets into legal trouble and had gone to jail for rash and negligent driving and for hunting an endangered species, the Chinkara.Despite all the controversies to his name, the moody hunk has a huge fan following.On April 5, 2018 a Jodhpur-based trial court held actor Salman Khan guilty in his 1998 black buck case where he was found guilty of killing two blackbucks. The actor was convicted with an imprisonment of 5 years and fined with a penalty of Rs 10,000 for the same.
