Kelvinator AC Error Code Troubleshooting
The air conditioner is not serviceable to the user. Incorrect repair can cause an electric shock or fire, so please contact an authorized service center for professional repairs. The following checks before contact can save you time and money.
Issue: Unit does not operate
Reason: The unit does not turn on immediately after shutdown. This is to protect the unit. You should wait about 3 minutes.
Issue: smells are emitted
Reason:
1. Some odors may be emitted from the indoor unit. This is the result of the room odor (such as furniture, tobacco, etc.) taken in the air conditioner.
2. If sulfur remains, consult the authorized service center for cleaning.
Issue: “flowing water” noise
Reason:Noise flowing like water is the refrigerant flowing inside the unit.
Issue:Haze is emitted in COOL mode
Reason:During cooling operation, a thin mist can be seen emitting from the indoor unit due to the high temperature and humidity of the room. After a period of time, the mist will disappear when room temperature decreases and humidity decreases.
Issue: Noise
Reason: This is the sound of friction caused by expansion and / or contraction of the panel or other parts due to temperature changes.
Issue:The unit cannot be started
Reason:
1. Is the electricity disconnected?
2. Is the power plug loose? (if applicable )
3. Is the circuit protection device closed?
4. Is the voltage high or low? (Tested by professionals)
5. Used correctly at the right time?
Issue: cooling / heating effect is bad
Reason:
1. Is the temperature setting reasonable?
2. Is the inlet or outlet blocked?
3. Is the filter dirty?
4. Is the window or door open?
5. Is the low fan speed set?
6. Are there sources of heat in the room?
Issue: The remote control does not transmit the signal
Reason:
1. Check if the unit has magnetic or electrical interference that may affect the operation of the remote control. In this case, take out the plug and reinstall it.
2. Is the remote controlled or interrupted within its operating range? Check the condition of the batteries and replace them if necessary.
3. Check if the remote control is damaged.
Issue:Water leakage of indoor unit
Reason:
1. Humidity is high.
2. Condensed water overflow.
3. Drain hose is loose or obstructed.
Issue:Water leakage of external unit
Reason:
1. During cooling operation, the water condenses around the pipe and connection joints.
2. During the defrosting operation, the molten water flows.
3. During the heating operation, the water on the heat exchanger dries up.
Issue: Noise from indoor unit.
Reason:
1. Noise emits when the fan or compressor relay is switched on or off.
2. When defrosting operation is started or stopped, there is a sound of refrigerant flowing backwards.
Issue: Indoor unit cannot blow air
Reason:
1. In HEAT mode, when the temperature of the indoor heat exchanger is very low, the air flow is stopped to prevent cold air. (Within 2 minutes)
2. In HEAT mode, when the outdoor temperature is low or humidity is high, frost will be formed on the external heat exchanger. The unit will automatically defrost and the indoor unit will stop blowing air for 3–12 minutes.
3. During defrosting operation, water or vapor may be emitted.
4. In DRY mode, the indoor fan will stop blowing air for 3–12 minutes to protect the condenser water from evaporating again.
Issue: Moisture at air outlet
Reason: If the unit is operated at high humidity for a long time, moisture will be generated on the air outlet grill and then drip off.
Issue: H1-Defrosting
Reason: This is normal. The unit is in defrosting mode and heating will be recommended soon.
Issue: E3-Low Pressure Warning
Reason: Your air conditioner has lost refrigerant. Contact your installer to check for possible leaks.
The pressure in the refrigeration system is low and can result in unit breakdown. Ask a certified installer to control it. If any one of the following conditions occurs, immediately stop all operations, disconnect the power supply, and contact authorized personnel.
01. A harsh sound occurs during har operation.
02. Strong odors are emitted during operation.
03. Water is leaking from the King unit.
04. Circuit breaker makes frequent trips.
05. Water or other liquid is divided into units.
06. Power cord and power plug overheating.
